How does automilez for iPhone work?
automilez is a simple application that leverages smartphone technology to capture and log mileage for Federal IRS tax deductions and other purposes. automilez uses a combination of smartphone GPS, wi-fi, cell tower triangulation, and our proprietary technology to immediately track and log trip mileage.The automilez logic engine calculates distance using three primary approaches: trigonometry, great-circle distance, and road mapping. automilez calculates mileage totals by intelligently combining and calculating the results from these three approaches, giving you the most accurate trip mileage possible.
Using automilez for iPhone
automilez is a simple application that utilizes a noncomplex, intuitive interface. Below is a quick view of how to get started. For additional help, please refer to our help documentation, automilez Help.
Once you have downloaded automilez, select 'Create Account' on the home screen. Just enter your email address and a password and select 'Save'.

Sign in to automilez and you will be presented with the Trip Screen. Click the green button and automilez will begin logging your mileage automatically*.

Once you start a trip, you can add Trip Details like Business, Sales Call, and other custom notes. These details can be easily changed at any time during the trip or once logged into the automilez Logbook*.

When your trip is complete, click 'End Trip' and a Trip Log appears with duration, route, distance traveled, and deduction amount. automilez emails you the Trip Log and stores your logs in your automilez Logbook.
